ABOUT DAUNTE

Daunte “Kingtae” Fyall has been studying West African dance since childhood with KanKouran West African Dance Company based in Washington, D.C. and directed by Assane Konte of Senegal.Duante currently teaches and performs in Los Angeles, and has built a reputation for being energetic and passionate about sharing the culture.

Daunte and his fellow artists in the DAANSEKOU ARTS COLLECTIVE work closely with inner city youth while also maintaining corporate, private and individual group lessons for West African dance. With an affinity for Cultural Education and Performance, DAANSEKOU believes that “...true healing starts with Pure Heart and Positive Intention..." paired with the humility to share the value of this living tradition and simultaneously encouraging people to experience their infinite potential.
