ABOUT KHAMLA - IG @khamlasomphanh
Khamla Somphanh is most passionate about teaching and working as a freelance choreographer. She currently teaches Advanced Modern Technique at The Malashock Dance School, Canyon Crest Academy High School and Carlsbad Performing Arts Academy. Khamla has performed professionally with ODC/San Francisco Dance Company, Wyliiams/Henry Dance Ensemble, Na-Ni Chen Dance Company, East/West Repertory Ensemble, New World Dance Company, Soundance Dance Company, Malashock Dance Company and the San Diego Opera to name a few and is noted for her performances on Broadway and first national tour of the “King and I”, choreographed by Lar Lubovitz. She attended Duke Ellington School of the Arts High School before continuing her education at The University of The Arts in Philadelphia. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s College of California and Horton Pedagogy Certification from The Alvin Ailey School in NYC.
